Master Firearms Instructor/EOD Specialist

Eric is a police officer with the Decatur Illinois Police Department with over 3 years of experience in Law Enforcement. He has served with the United States Army, United States Border Patrol, Patrol Officer, and Emergency Response Team Member for the Decatur Police Department. Eric is a Master Firearms Instructor for the Decatur Police Department.
Eric served in the U.S. Army as an 11B (light infantry) with the 82d Airborne Division where he earned the rank of Sergeant. In that assignment, he served on deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. He then attended NAVSCOEOD, changing military occupational skills to that of 89 (EOD specialist). Eric’s first assignment was to the 722d Ord. Co. (EOD). There, in addition to his EOD team duties, he served as training NCO, developing and implementing a pre-deployment firearms training program.
Eric then deployed to Iraq again as an EOD team member with the 722d ORD. Co. (EOD). Upon returning from Iraq, Eric completed the U.S. Army Squad Designated Marksman Course and the U.S. Army Close Quarters Marksmanship Course through the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit.
