Firearms Instructor Course for Law Enforcement

Shooter School presents a 5 day firearms instructor course that is designed for the law enforcement firearms instructor. Beginning with mindset and discussions on Use of Force and policy, the class is taught the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship and issues with the pistol and shooter that can effect accuracy. Shooter School methodology is provided and covers reloading, malfunction clearance, low light and wounded officer shooting instruction.

Unlike other firearm instruction programs, Shooter School incorporates tactics into the week long period of instruction, providing instructors with the technical and tactical ability to instruct firearm use. In addition, students are repeatedly placed in teaching positions throughout the week and receive continous critiques from instructors on how to enhance their teaching ability. At the end of the week, students will deliver a block of instruction to the class while on the firing line.

Range safety, shooting course development and lesson plan development are discussed throughout the course. Students attending this course spend significant time "learning by doing" and work with instructors throughout the week to enhance their shooting and teaching abilities.
